ABOUT ME

Becoming a Certified Nutrition Coach was never in my life plan. Being an overall healthy female, I did the research regarding diet and exercise, and it was always, “what is the lowest number on the scale I can get to and how small of portions can I survive off of?” Definitely not the healthy mindset, BUT, a common one in our society and world today. When I had my two kids, my priorities changed and so did my body. I was still physically active, but running turned more into quicker, HIIT training with a baby stroller! I did eat “well”, but the presence of more processed foods crept up as my kids grew and became little humans with a social life. I decided to eat a plant-based diet and understand what that truly meant - and that’s when I noticed a change in my body and my mind. Incorporating the diet as the way I lived was key. I dove deeper into the plant-based world and I was hooked! I educated myself on how nutrition has the power to help (or hurt) your body, how food can energize you, protect you, and help you reverse illness and disease. I took it upon myself to be my own guinea pig, and my family came for the ride. Changing my diet really challenged me to create and discover new foods and wholesome meals, and we all have benefitted.

My top reason in becoming a Certified Nutrition Coach (through the National Academy of Sports Medicine) is my family and their well-being. Teaching my children about food, where it comes from, and what it does to our body, while watching them grow up and making better food choices, is the best gift.

I have followed a plant-based diet for over 5 years, I am loving and confident in myself and my body image, with a stronger body and mind, and have energy that is a natural high!

I am looking forward to helping you empower yourself and know it’s never too late to change.
